Key Area 4: Leadership and Organizational Change
While a composer creates music and writes it down, it is the conductor who takes it off the page and breathes life into it! This person is responsible for leading a large group of musicians and thendecides when changes need to be made to a performance. If something does not sound right or could sound better, a conductor will look for ways to adjust the music. In schools, changes are needed all of the time to enhance students' quality of education and to improve a school's dynamics. It takes good leaders to make change, and as teachers, we should continuously look for opportunities to step forward and help better our schools.

Through my experience in PDC, I learned the importance of the Reflective Action Model. As a teacher, I need to continue to change in the way I go about delivering my lessons until I am satisfied that I am teaching to the best of my abilities and am reaching my students.
I placed the final report of my internship under leadership and organizational change because now that I have created a computer class, I would like to help my school integrate more technology into the elementary curriculum. The benchmarks that I have created for the first grade is one good place to begin. From there, I could help identify benchmarks for other grade levels. In the future, I also plan to help my colleagues integrate more technology into their lessons.
